I agree with all the pros. Some more "cons": A high HP 5-speed Z on a track (with turns) may create a need to shift into 5th gear. I've topped out 4th gear at Thunderhill and went deep into 5th at Willow Springs "Big Track" - this was with stock turbos and my current upgraded turbos just the same. When I ran Thunderhill CW and CCW with the Sport 500s, I was deep into 5th on both accounts.Daily driving: Worse gas mileage. Also it leads to more wear-and-tear in the long run. Hard to measure exactly how much, but an engine cruising at 3200RPM (80mph in 5th gear TT gears)versus 3600RPM (4.08/4.10 gears) has more part-interactions in a given amount of time - enough said. SS
